As a very small company I use PAYG as I only send around 40 envelopes a year.
Unfortunately PAYG doesn’t allow me ANY access to the API which is frustrating as I’ve written a system to manage my business that automatically generates the signing documents from my database but I then have to manually upload them. I can’t justify upgrading to the “small” plan which would give me API access as it would cost me more than 5 times as much and I wouldn’t use 80% of the envelope allowance which isn’t viable.
I understand that it’s not viable from your perspective to give PAYG customers unlimited API access but it would be really useful so allow some access even if this is a very limited number of calls per envelope. If that’s not possible perhaps an add on subscription for PAYG customers charging a nominal amount for API access could be considered.
Obviously these are just my thoughts as a small business which technical knowledge but I’m sure other small businesses would also find this useful.
We welcome all sorts of ideas and feedback, as it helps us better understand the ever changing needs of our customers. I can completely appreciate where you’re coming from, it certainly would be a useful add on to be able to purchase some API use for Pay As You Go users! I’d highly recommend raising this as an official feature request here - https://signable.fider.io/
These feature requests go straight through to our Product Team to review for future roadmaps. They take into account the demand for the feature, and the work involved in building it.

One suggestion from us, that might make thing s a little easier for you when uploading your documents, is using ‘tags’. You may be familiar with them, but if tags are used on a document and then it is uploaded, all of the signers and their fields are automatically populated.
I’ll submit this as a feature request. Thanks for the suggestion.
I’ve already got my system putting in the tags so I don’t need to manually place where each signature goes but I do have to manually enter the name and email for each signer as I don’t believe there’s a way to do this without API access?
